Refrigerate in perforated plastic bag — do not wash grapes until ready to eat, as excess moisture during storage will hasten decay.
To freeze grapes: (1) Wash and remove stems; (2) In a saucepan, combine 2 3/4 cups sugar and 4 cups water, mix until the solution is clear, and bring to a boil; (3) Cool the syrup and pour over grapes; (4) Place grapes and syrup in covered airtight containers or heavy-duty freezer bags.
Grapes may also be frozen without syrup for snacking or for use in making jams and jellies, as follows: (1) Wash grapes and remove stems; (2) Place in covered airtight containers or heavy-duty freezer bags and freeze.
Freezer time shown is for best quality only — foods kept constantly frozen at 0° F will keep safe indefinitely.
