Shelf Life Tips

  • To freeze: (1) Peel by roasting in 400 to 450 °F oven for 6 to 8 minutes or until skins can be rubbed off; (2) Remove the charred skins, cut out stems and remove seeds; (3) Let cool and then place in covered airtight containers or heavy-duty freezer bags.
  • Freezer time shown is for best quality only — foods kept constantly frozen at 0° F will keep safe indefinitely.
